He was also a prolific writer in many other genres, including contemporary novels, history, politics and social commentary. Together with Jules Verne, Wells has been referred to as ‘The Father of Science Fiction’. ‘Twelve Stories and A Dream’ is a collection of short science fiction stories compiled over the years from works Wells had submitted to various magazines. It includes titles such as ‘The Magic Shop, ‘ and ‘The Stolen Body.’
