Emerging Sensing Applications and Protocols for the Internet of Things 

The sensing applications associated with the Internet of Things (Io T) are rapidly emerging in various domains. To date, various books and scholarly articles have been published on the subject; however, these resources generally focus on only a single or couple of aspects and applications of Io T. This book provides an insight into the fundamentals of Io T concepts, architecture, requirements, and applications. Each of the emerging Io T applications, including environmental sensing, agricultural and livestock sensing, industrial sensing, medical sensing, vehicular sensing and threat detection/sensing, is described in detail by focusing on specific frameworks, architectures, protocols, challenges and future research trends.
