About the author


James Norman Hall (1887-1951) was an American writer.  He is best known for Mutiny on the Bounty (1932) and other works co-written with Charles Nordhoff, a fellow veteran.  Hall lived an exciting life—from his exploits as a machine gunner and pilot in World War I to post-war adventures in Tahiti.
