Jane Miller has three years of registered nurse training and eighteen years as a social worker and quality control reviewer for health and social services. The story is about her. and that makes her uniquely qualified to write and promote this book. The author has had an editorial published in the local newspaper to help keep a nursing home open for elderly indigent patients who had nowhere else to call home. She has also received over three hundred names on the petition that she drafted to keep the nursing home open. The nursing home remains open today. She has raised three children and has two grandchildren. She lives alone with her Rottweiler, Cleopatra “Cleo, ” and two cats. She also paints paintings in her spare time from writing.
