The best way to know any city is by heading out with the sole purpose of photographing it and its people. While there is much to capture in a city, street photography allows us to freeze a moment, and study all of the small dramas that were taking place.

A quote by a prestigious Canadian photojournalist and street photographer, Ted Grant, describes the Author’s reason for using black & white photos. “When you photograph people in colour, you photograph their clothes. Jim Williams lives in British Columbia, Canada and has been an amateur photographer for decades. In the past few years he has been travelling the world and has become keenly interested in street photography.While there are many interpretations and definitions of street photography, Jim’s guidelines are thus: Street photography is photography that features the human condition within public places, depicting everyday public life.
