About the author

Born in England he moved to Northern Rhodesia in Colonial
Central Africa in 1955 where he enjoyed many adventures in his
new environment. In 1961 he was sent on a four day train journey
to a private boarding school in apartheid South Africa. In 1966 he
attended college in England after which he joined the Sussex Police
in 1969, initially on Uniform Patrol. In 1978 he progressed to the
Criminal Investigations Department and in 1991 he was awarded
a national post at New Scotland Yard in London investigating
international crimes with Interpol. He later joined the National
Criminal Intelligence Service continuing his international criminal
investigations. He then became a member of the Serious and
Organized Crime Agency again investigating international criminal
activity. He retired in 2011 and lives with his wife in Sussex. He has
two sons, one Grand-daughter and one Grandson who live nearby.
