Wolfgang Rother, geb. 1955, studierte Philosophie, Theologie und Germanistik in Marburg, Tübingen und Zürich. Er ist Professor für Philosophie an der Universität Zürich, Autor verschiedener Bücher zur Ideengeschichte und Mitherausgeber des Grundrisses der Geschichte der Philosophie sowie mehrerer wissenschaftlicher Buchreihen.
