About the author

Décio Torres Cruz holds a Ph D in Comparative Literature from SUNY Buffalo, USA. He did post-doctoral research on film adaptations of Shakespeare’s works at Leeds Metropolitan University, UK, and now teaches Literatures in English at UFBA and UNEB in Brazil. He has written several books and sits on a number of journal editorial boards.
