About the author

Michael Lee began writing poetry while he was in high school in Brooklyn, NY.

Dr. Lee’s new book, Not Gonna Write Poems, is his first endeavour as a poetry book author. His book is a collection of funny, unique poems and sketches meant to be shared and enjoyed by both adults and children of all ages.

Inspired by his family’s love of poetry, specifically the poetry of Shel Silverstein, Dr. Lee wrote his book in hopes of entertaining his family- and hopefully his readers as well. When not writing poetry, Dr. Lee works as a full time physician at an urgent care centre in Long Island, New York. In his free time, he loves to travel, work out, and spend time with his wife, Silvia, and his 10 year old daughter, Jessica.
