Pat Queen is a happily married, retired nurse who lives in southeastern Ohio on a small farm. She and her husband, Fred, love animals. They have two large Anatolian crossbreed guard dogs who live peacefully with their barn cats and small herd of Boer goats. Two horses, Hank and Luna, graze their pastures and get ridden by Pat and Fred when weather and time permit. Pat’s favorite animal is Inca, her six-year-old Chinese Crested house dog. In addition to her pets, Pat loves her grandchildren, who number ten! A favorite activity is square dancing, which Fred and Pat engage in weekly. Her Christian faith in God is an important part of her life and impacts her work. Writing fiction and poetry has always been a passion, and some of her poems have been published in hardcover anthologies. This novel is her greatest work to date.
