Peter Lawler was born in 1937. He was raised in Tasmania. He worked as a Technical and Administrative Officer in the now defunct PMG department and became a federal government auditor on gaining an accounting diploma. He was as well a part time Law and Accounting lecturer until 1990 when a serious injury that occurred in 1961 worsened and caused his retirement in the same year. He has had published articles in Accounting and Engineering journals and by 1996 had obtained a business Master of Arts degree and a Ph D from Kensington. A love of reading since his teens decided Peter to write this his third book “Lachlan of Carlisle” over the last five years and finally have it published.
