Caramel, the wild puma shows that prudence is an important virtue for everyone. To know how to weigh risks and to seek for solutions of our needs is a constant task: we must learn from early childhood to contain our impulses, to reason, to decide how to pursue our goals, keeping in mind that we must protect ourselves.
The collection 'The 7 Virtues – Stories from Hawk`s Little Ranch was created to motivate parents and educators to tell stories to children, motivating them to think about human values.
The characters, personified animals, represent the virtues and tell stories of the folklore of the State of Minas Gerais – Brazil, as well as legends, myths and manifestation of a culture. All stories in the book are based on true events that happened at the ranch of the author’s ranch.
It’s a collection of children’s books, with stories based on the folklore of the Center-West of Minas Gerais State. Through humanized animals, the author not only records the oral history, but also rescues values such as respect, honesty, solidarity, endurance, generosity and friendship, dating back to the time of Grandma, but always needed for proper social coexistence.

Dorinha Aguiar is a professional journalist. She has worked in State of Minas and Diário da tarde, reporting under risk, especifically police beat, General issues and Culture editorials. Wrote on scientific topics, from nuclear energy to occupational diseases; cultural activities, from the lackluster Raposos gold (mining) to literature.

She has been an editor of magazines and newspapers in Minas. Since 1998, she writes biographies, recording oral histories and contextualizing them in the History of Humanity. This is the case of Duas Vidas – a silent cry for peace, the story of a Brazilian woman who marries a Muslim in Brazil and goes to Lebanon, where she faces 16 years of war. They are altruistic stories, always dedicated to personal growth, a contribution of the journalist. With more than 40 thousand books distributed free of charge, she believes that each one has a lot to add in life experience for the world, being enough the decision to share.
