James Finn Garner was born in Detroit and attended the University of Michigan, where he won a Hopwood Award for one of his short plays. He performed comedy in Chicago nightclubs for a number of years and is the author of Politically Correct Bedtime Stories, Once Upon A More Enlightened Time and Politically Correct Holiday Stories.
