John Donne”s Poetry Anthology (Revised Edition) 

This book is Revised and prepared based on the John Donne: Erotic Poems and Theological Poems (China Translation and Publishing Corporation, 1999) and the Poetry Anthology of John Donne of Originator of British Metaphysical Poetry (Beijing October Literature and Art Publishing House, 2006).The translator once taken the originals in several authorized editions as the master copy of John Donne”s Poetry Anthology, and translated the most important parts of his works, such as all contents of the Collection of Poems, the Collection of Mottoes, the Elegiae and some of the Theological Poetry Anthology, and then, made the detailed notes line by line.On this basis, by referring to the new version of the original text and collating the old translation word by word and sentence by sentence, the translation has been greatly improved, and some annotations have been added.In addition, there is also a translator”s preface, and a detailed and brief introduction to Donne”s poetry and his Reception History.Prepared the Donne”s chronology and related articles as appendix.So far, this book is still the most complete Chinese version of the John Donne”s Poetry Anthology.
