Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson (1832–1910) was a Norwegian writer who towered as one of the great literary figures of the nineteenth century. He is considered as one of the 'Great Four’ Norwegian writers, alongside Henrik Ibsen, Alexander Kielland, and Jonas Lie.
