Zhao Mengfu(1254-1322), the word is Zi Ang, a Taoist named Songxue, a native of Wuxing (now Huzhou, Zhejiang). As a member of the Song clan, he served as an official in the Yuan Dynasty after the end of the Southern Song Dynasty. The official ranks are Xianzhi Bachelor, Hanlin Bachelor, and Ronglu Doctor. After his death was named Wei Guogong, posthumous titled Wen Min. He was a master of calligraphy and painting in Yuan Dynasty. The Xin Shu, fame script, cursive script, official script and Zhuan Shu are all exquisite, especially the regular script and fame script. Yu Ji of the Yuan Dynasty believed: "Zhao Songxue”s writing is both fluent in writing and profound in learning. Observing his books, he is handy and knows how to write words…. It should be written in the middle age.Rhyme-prose on the Idle Life, a long scroll on paper, 38 centimeters in length and 28.3 centimeters in width.There are fifty-six lines, a total of six hundred and twenty-seven characters.Collected in the National Palace Museum in Taipei.The year and month have not been signed as well. According to the postscript of Cao Rong”s inscription after the volume, this volume is a masterpiece of Zhao Mengfu”s later years. This volume has heavy pen strokes, vigorous pen, and strong body. It does not intend to be neat but it should be in compliance with the rules. "
