Robert Carter”s special interest in childrens art began when his own sone were quite young. His interest in Eastern philosophy and religions dates back nearly 25 years and includes instruction in Zen meditation from Philip Kapleau of Rochester Zen Center. All of these interests melded into Carters most original book. The author teaches studio classes in painting, drawing, and design, as well as art history at St. Andrews College in Laurinburg, NC. where he is chairman of visual arts.
