Samantha emigrated to New Zealand, along with her mother and baby sister as a £10 pom. Their father had recently transferred from the Royal British Navy to the New Zealand Navy and the small family was looking forward to a new life in a new country. By 4 years old Sam had already decided on the one thing that would ensure her survival. That she would never, ever be like her mother. She would be kind, caring and never hit people the way her mother did. From that day on Sam set about to be the best little girl in world. She spent her childhood caring and protecting her siblings; she married a man she didn’t know or love and when she finally escaped this hell, she was soon to walk into another one. One that would throw her to the demons of insanity and despair. Sam’s indomitable spirit, sense of humour, the love of her children and her good friends rescued her and helped her heal. Her kind and thoughtful therapist told her of another life and showed her the way. This is Sam’s first novel and she enjoyed it so much she is writing another.
