Shelley Ritchie has a master’s degree in elementary education. She lives in Richmond, Missouri, with her husband, John, where she was an elementary educator for 28 years. They have a daughter, Molly, who is also an elementary teacher.

Zoe Ballam graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in graphic design. She lives in Kansas City, Missouri, with her dog, Kool.
