David is a disabled Vietnam Era veteran although his disability is not related to war service. He spent 15 years on the highways and biways of the United States as a driver of commercial vehicles. He is now sixty years old and spends much of his time crunching words. He just thought it was time for a story that did not tax the reader with the great questions.
