David A. Marshall was born in York, South Carolina where he graduated from Jefferson High School. He subsequently relocated to New York Cityand continued his education by graduating from Baruch College. He had aspiration of becoming a professional baseball player, but thatambition fell short when he sustained a severe back injury. He always had a penchant for writing and wrotevoluminous song lyrics before falling in love with poetry. He writes poetry to appease that relentless inner voice and to share some of his most clandestine thoughts and insights with others. His sources of inspiration come from God, Social Intercourse and Nature. He is currentlyworking on another book of poetry and novel. Marshalls works have garnered a host of awards and his artistry has been published in the United States as well as in Rome.
