European Funding. Guidelines for an application of the cultural platform “Holzweltkultur” 
Promotion of Culture in the EU

Diploma Thesis from the year 2015 in the subject Communications – Media Economics, Media Management, grade: 3, University of Applied Sciences Graz, language: English, abstract: The subject of this Master Thesis is to write an application for a call in the European Funding program of Culture, called “Creative Europe”. The application is about a four year cultural exchange project between the regions Murau (Austria), Maribor (Slovenia) and Pecs (Hungary). The author works for a European Regional Development Company and managed a regional cultural project in the past. With this Master Thesis he tries to give an insight about the funding system of the European Union and its cultural part. Some examples of successfully installed culture projects in regional development are followed by a specific application for a transnational culture project.

The project should be a start for a long term collaboration of these regions supporting artists, culture, tourism and economic affairs. Inhabitants of these regions should receive a strong impression of other cultures, get to know new people and new friendships to generate a small support of retaining the peace positive development in Europe.
