Recently, the utilization of metal matrix composites (MMC’s) has increased in various areas of industry due to their special mechanical and physical properties. MMC’s, particularly aluminium based composites have a high specific strength and stiffness at elevated temperatures as well as fatigue, corrosion and wear resistance.
