’Nibsy’s Christmas ’ is the title of a little volume of three stories by Jacob A. Riis, the author of ’How the Other Half Lives’ and of ’ The Children of the Poor.’ These stories are based upon the author’s observations of real life in the tenement-house districts, and derive their power and their pathos from the simplicity and fidelity with which he has portrayed the characters and painted the scenes.
