This book focuses on the personnel and customs of Maonan Ethnic Areas, and describes three main contents: firstly, villagers: by writing some relatives, teachers and people in the village, it reflects the characteristics of the ethnic customs, understands the development of the nation; writing the precious non-traditional cultural heritage of the nation, reflecting the spirit of perseverance and spiritual creation. Secondly, village affairs: record the events and customs in Maonan area, such as morning reading, which reflects the desire for cultural knowledge, shows that the Maonan people overcome the hardship of conditions, strive to create life, live forever, and reflect the survival state and spiritual state of the nation. Thirdly, village objects: it mainly focuses on the unique features of Maonan people, such as the big trees at the head of the village, which are admired by all the villagers, reflecting the harmonious relationship between human and nature, and recording the wisdom of Maonan people. These customs show the life style and image of Maonan people.
