Rabbi Eliyahu Stern is assistant professor of modern Jewish intellectual andcultural history at Yale University. He is an American fellow of the Shalom Hartman Institute and received rabbinic ordination from Yeshiva University.He is currently writing a book on Elijah of Vilna.
