Palliative Care 
Oncology Experience from Hong Kong

Training in palliative medicine for clinical oncologists in Hong Kong is organized by the Palliative Medicine Subspecialty Board under the Hong Kong College of Radiologists, and it is expected that through this training the oncologists will be equipped to provide good quality palliative care for their cancer patients. As part of the training and subspecialty certification, the candidates must submit a research project of high scientific standard. In this book, the authors present some of the research conducted during the last examination and certification. The research covered different topics including radiotherapy in patients with metastatic diseases, survival predictors, a systemic review on drugs, and advanced directives in the Chinese population. The authors hope that this presentation will provide insight to the progress of palliative care development in different facilities in Hong Kong.
