Two of our boys came from Mark Twain’s imagination. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn show the adventures boys growing up along the Mississippi River.
We crossed the ocean to find Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. The tone is a little darker, after all London in the mid-19th century was not a friendly place for an orphan boy to grow up.

Charles Dickens (February 7, 1812 to June 9, 1870) was a British novelist, journalist, editor, illustrator and social commentator who wrote such beloved classic novels as Oliver Twist, A Christmas Carol, Nicholas Nickleby, David Copperfield, A Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations.
Samuel L. Clemens wrote under the pen name Mark Twain (Novembro, 1835 to April, 1910) and went on to author several novels, including two major classics of American literature: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
