Michael F. Shaughnessy is currently Professor at Eastern New Mexico University. He has been a social studies teacher, coach, guidance counselor and school psychologist. He received his doctorate from the University of Nebraska Lincoln and has conducted postdoctoral work at Texas Tech University and George Washington University. He has authored, co-authored, edited and co-edited approximately 50 books and more than 500 journal articles. He has also served on the editorial boards of several major journals.
