Bìa của Pharmacogenomics: Foundations, Competencies, and the Pharmacists' Patient Care Process (ePUB)
Pharmacogenomics: Foundations, Competencies, and the Pharmacists’ Patient Care Process provides a basic and clinical foundation for the application of drug-gene interactions in clinical therapeutics. As the field of PGx advances, there is a need for a pharmacy-based, directed resource that can be a reference for practicing pharmacists and student pharmacists. Specific information is presented through “PGx Pearls.” Each of the 17 cases are presented in the context of the PPCP, with “Competency Connections” related to genetics and genomics. Each of the 29 chapters provides content and objective related questions with the answers provided. Two appendices are included. KEY FEATURES:

Connects the clinical application with basic foundational principles of pharmacogenomics
Includes pharmacogenomics case studies across therapeutic areas
PPCP-focused content that reinforces the pharmacists’ role in pharmacogenomics
Ideal for adoption in courses teaching pharmacogenomics and pharmacogenetics

Giới thiệu về tác giả

Dave Kisor, Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmaco genomics and Director of Pharmacogenomics, joined Manchester University in June 2014 and is responsible for directing pharmacogenomics across programs in the College of Pharmacy, Natural and Health Sciences. He led the development and implementation of the first dedicated Master of Pharmacogenomics Program (MS in PGx) in the United States, helping to expand delivery to an online format, as well as helping to establish the first Pharm D/MS in PGx dual degree program. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from The University of Toledo and his Doctorate in Pharmacy from The Ohio State University. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in therapeutic drug monitoring and pharmacokinetics at Ohio State. He has integrated pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics with pharmacokinetic subject matter since 1998. Beyond the formal academic setting, he is very engaged in pharmacogenomics education, having been involved with the American
Association of Colleges of Pharmacy Pharmacogenomics Special Interest Group (AACP PGx SIG) in defining/refining competency statements for pharmacists as well as leading the effort to provide the first certification program in pharmacogenomics in the United States. He is a member of the American Pharmacists Association (APh A), the American College of Clinical Pharmacology (ACCP), the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT), the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), and the Clinical Pharmaco genetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC). Dr. Kisor is a past chair of the AACP PGx SIG. He was named a fellow of ACCP in 2017.
