With her newly minted college degree in fine art in hand, Carolyn Rice Dean”s first job was at a printing company where she quickly learned the technical aspects of print reproduction from original concept to finished product. This unique combination of skills afforded her the opportunity to realize her lifelong passion for art as an independent creative talent, collaborator and producer. Over the years she has undertaken a wide range of projects for universities, museums, government agencies and utilities, a nationwide distributor, and many nonprofit organizations. The Story of Buddy and Uncle Kenneth (2021) is Carolyn”s first venture in children”s book design for an author, but it won”t be her last.
