Qu Yuan, whose given name is "Ping", was a famous poet and politician of the State of Chu during the Warring States period. He came from a noble family and was originally surnamed Mi. His ancestor was granted the title of Qu, so he took Qu as his surname. He once served as a Zuo Tu and Sanlv Dafu, in charge of the internal and foreign affairs of Chu, but was later exiled due to slander. He wrote works such as Li Sao, Ai Ying, and Huai Sha amidst sadness, anger, and resentment. His poetry’s sentence pattern and structure are flexible and varied, containing many Chu dialects and famous objects, with a strong romantic color. This book utilizes limited historical materials and provides reasonable interpretations to explore Qu Yuan’s inner world, achieving the goal of "comments on the man and the world".
