Burning Books (volume 2) 

Burning Books is Li Zhi”s main representative work, which contains Li Zhi”s poems and articles with various contents. Li Zhi”s thoughts are very complicated, combining culture, history and philosophy. All his thoughts are clearly reflected in Burning Books. Li Zhi Research Series: Notes on Burning Books(volume1 and 2) is based on the combined edition of Burning Books and Sequel published by Zhonghua Book Company in 1957, and refers to a variety of Ming editions. At the same time of collating the texts, the book also tries its best to explain the thoughts and expressions of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, the background of relevant historical events, the life and deeds of the relevant characters and friends, and the system of canonization, geographical evolution, difficult words, etc. At the same time, this book makes a careful check of the references and corrects many mistakes.
