Homer”s Epic is said to have been written by the blind Greek poet Homer. It is the immortal heroic epic of ancient Greece and the cornerstone of Western classical culture. The Iliad consists of 24 volumes and 15, 693 lines. It mainly tells the story of the siege of Troy, the city of Asia Minor, by the Greek allied forces. It focuses on the quarrel between Agamemnon, the commander of the Greek allied forces, and Achilles, the Greek hero. This book focuses on what happened 50 days before the end of the war. Greek hero Achilles refused to fight in anger because the female prisoner was captured by coach Agamemnon. After his good friend Patroclus died in battle, Achilles went into battle again and finally killed Hector, the Trojan Lord, turning the Greek coalition into a victor. The Odyssey is a 24-volume, 12110-line poem that tells the story of Odysseus, a hero of the Greek allied forces. He drifted on the sea for ten years and finally returned to his native country after experiencing difficulties and dangers. The couple reunited. Odysseus was brave and smart. He contributed ideas to the Trojan war, and the Greek Allies won. On his way back to his native country, he experienced many difficulties and dangers. He conquered one-eyed monster and witch, and was kept on the island for 7 years. Finally, he asked the prophet Teresias for the way and finally returned to his hometown. At that time, his wife was struggling to get rid of suitors from all over the world, so he disguised himself as a beggar. He shot all suitors to death, and finally reunited his family.
