As one of China’s Four Greatest Classical Novels, the full name of Romance of Three Kingdoms is Romance of the Three Kingdoms The Three Kingdoms Era. Written by novelist Luo Guanzhong, it’s the first long romance novel of history with captions for each chapter in China, which mainly presents political and military fights among the three political groups of Wei, Shu and Wu, and can be mainly divided into five parts of Yellow Turban Rebellion, Dong Zhuo’s tyranny, conflict among the various warlords and nobles, start of the three kingdoms and unification of the country by Jin. Under the grand background, almost 500 characters joined those epic wars with twists and turns, and everyone is acquainted with the images of Cao Cao, Liu Bei, Sun Quan, Zhuge Liang, Zhou Yu, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. The historical description of different parties without discrimination of allies and enemies has also generated extremely profound impacts on later generations.
