Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Epilogue seemed to come from the same hand, and had precisely the same merits. It seemed to be composed for the express purpose of trying how many pure stupidities might be comprised in fifty lines, and how far Miss Smith’s popularity might be proof against her performance. This specimen of her recitation was singularly lachry mose and lamentable. The applause was violent at the fall of the curtain.
