The book was written in 1945. The work describes the 57th Division of the 74th Army, code named "Huben", in the encirclement of more than 60000 Japanese soldiers, who fought against the enemy in the back of the water and fought hard for more than ten days with the Japanese aggressors. They were able to encircle the reinforcements and defend Changde. There are more than 8000 people in the whole division, and only 83 of them have survived. The book is very impressive and magnificent.
